The HORN International Institute for Strategic Studies Board of Trustees is a distinguished governing body constituted of exceptional private individuals, institutions, corporations, philanthropic organisations, academic bodies, and research institutions.
As the apex governance structure of the Institute, the Board provides high-level oversight — holding responsibility for the vision, mission, financial health, governance integrity, and strategic direction of HORN
The mandate of the Board includes

Strategic Oversight
To provide strategic oversight by guiding the Institute’s vision and strategic direction and ensuring that all HORN programs are aligned with its mission and remain relevant to emerging priorities

Governance and Compliance
To uphold governance and compliance by safeguarding institutional integrity, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, and promoting transparent, accountable, and effective governance structures

Financial Stewardship
To ensure financial stewardship by supporting resource mobilization efforts, approving budgets, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring prudent management of the Institute’s funds and endowments

Partnerships & Advocacy
To strengthen partnerships and advocacy by cultivating strategic partnerships, expanding networks, and enhancing the Institute’s visibility and influence in relevant policy and research spaces

Advisory & Validation
Provide expert guidance on strategic and policy issues and ensure quality, credibility and independence of research

Partnerships & Advocacy
To strengthen partnerships and advocacy by cultivating strategic partnerships, expanding networks, and enhancing the Institute’s visibility and influence in relevant policy and research spaces
