2.0 THE HORN INSTITUTE’S ACCOMPLISHMENTSIN 2017
a) A New Start, a Growing Work Force Hassan Khannenje (PhD) is the Institute’s director since July 2017. A Fulbright scholar and an adjunct professor at Wayne State University (USA), Dr. Khannenje brings expertise in conflict resolution, public policy, security, diplomacy, and international relations. In addition to providing leadership, he has managed to substantially improve the HORN’s capacity, enhanced the quality and its staff and research products, increased the Institute’s networks, partnerships and collaborations and its media visibility and outreach. Since his inclusion in the team, the HORN Institute has seen tremendous growth – quantitatively and qualitatively – at the same time helping to shape and refine the strategic objectives and vision of the Institute.
