Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Adan is a political scientist, researcher, and program leader with over a decade of experience in governance, peacebuilding, and development across the Horn of Africa. He currently serves as Country Representative for the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue in Somalia, where he leads program strategy, stakeholder engagement, and policy initiatives. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Ankara University, a Master of Public Administration from Public Administration Institute for Türkiye and the Middle East (TODAIE), and a Bachelor’s degree from Mogadishu University. His career spans senior roles in international development, academia, and government, including work with the World Food Programme, Food and Agriculture Organization, and the World Bank, where he has led food security risk monitoring, data systems, and crisis assessments. He has also contributed to democratization and institutional reform processes in Somalia and served as a Senior Lecturer and Research Advisor, publishing extensively on governance, federalism, and conflict dynamics in the region.
