Habiba Orsud, Ph.D.

Senior Fellow, Conflict prevention, governance & regional security

Habiba Orsud is a peacebuilding and policy professional with experience in conflict prevention, governance, and regional security engagement. Her work focuses on supporting inclusive dialogue, strengthening institutional responses to conflict, and promoting community-based approaches to peacebuilding in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
She has contributed to programme implementation, research, and stakeholder coordination aimed at enhancing resilience and stability. Her areas of interest include mediation support, women’s participation in peace processes, and policy development addressing governance and security challenges.
Through her professional engagements, Habiba Orsud participates in policy dialogues and capacity-building initiatives that seek to advance sustainable peace, strengthen cooperation, and support long-term stability in regional and international peace and security efforts.
