Joe Meredith is a project, research and communications professional with experience working in international cooperation and diplomacy, global, national and local civil society across Kenya, Lebanon, the UK, SWANA, South Asia, the Pacific, the Caribbean and East Africa. Joe has worked for a Kenyan peacebuilding and security research centre, an intergovernmental donor agency, and a community-based migration CSO. He has managed and supported research into youth unemployment in Kenya, and public health & migrant rights in the UK.
Joe has a Master’s in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University with a specialisation in security and conflict in the Horn of Africa. His thesis focused on insurgency and security governance in Ethiopia. He also has a BA Hons Degree from the University of Cambridge in Modern and Medieval Languages (French and German), where he studied European political violence, colonialism and terrorism in West Germany.
