Brig Gen (Rtd) Ahamed Mohammed, a HORN Academy expert, and Ambassador Fatima Kyari Mohammed, Permanent Observer of the African Union to the United Nations, were invited by the Africa Center for Strategic Studies (ACSS), National Defence University in Washington DC, USA in August 2019 to give keynote speeches on Countering Violent Extremism.
