The Horn of Africa region is witnessing rapid political and security transformations with profound implications on peace and stability in the region. From elections, political transitions, peace agreements, to AMISOM drawdown in Somalia; countries in the region are undergoing social and political changes that may have an impact on inter-country relations.

To interrogate and further understand the implications of these developments, the HORN Institute will hold a Roundtable Discussion themed Experts’ Roundtable Forum: An Assessment of Political and Security Trends in the Horn of Africa on Thursday, November 05, 2020 in Nairobi, Kenya. The key objective of this moderated experts’ discussion is to deepen understanding of trends in politics and security in the region, and the implications of these changes on the peace and stability of the Horn of Africa.
