Early Warning, Early Response Study Project

An Early Warning and Early Response system (EWER) project is an analysis of open source information on violent conflict situations by local, national, and international actors. The information is then linked to formal and institutionalized response mechanisms so as to prevent violence before it takes place. Early Warning, Early Response Study seeks to fill a knowledge gap in the existing body of knowledge on the Early Warning and Response Mechanisms in the fight against violent extremism. Mapping out the early warning and early response to radicalization and violent extremism develops a comprehensive understanding of the threats and the already existing initiatives.
