Deep and Extreme Dialogue (ED, DD, and DED) Project

Deep Dialogue (DD)
Deep Dialogue is the type of dialogue in which a person knowledgeable in a subject matter helps an extremist (or a radical) engage individuals with radical or extremist thinking, in a dialogue, individually or in groups (circles). This dialogue is designed to make them acknowledge the problem of extremism and terrorism, with the objective of transforming them and leading them away from violent extremism and terrorism.

Extreme Dialogue (ED)
Extreme Dialogue is a type of dialogue in which a reformed extremist (or radical) engages individuals with radical or extremist thinking, in a dialogue, individually or in groups (circles), helping them see and acknowledge the problem of extremism and terrorism, with the objective of transforming them, and leading them away from extremism and terrorism.

Deep and Extreme Dialogue (DED)
Deep and Extreme Dialogue is a highly effective counter-violent extremism and counter-terrorism dialogue in which a person knowledgeable in a subject matter, and is a reformed extremist (or radical), either alone or jointly with others, help(s) to prevent vulnerable individuals, especially young people, from being recruited into violent extremism and terrorist organizations.  The practice of DED helps people to navigate the core and often confusing and misleading ideological/religious concepts, that are commonly exploited by violent extremists. This dialogue also helps radicals and extremists to come to terms with, and move away from the complex terrain of extremism and terrorism.
