Mercy Chepkirui Lagat is a migration and communications professional with experience in policy research, community engagement, and stakeholder coordination. Her work focuses on refugee protection, migration governance, and social dynamics in displacement settings. Mercy has contributed to research and communications initiatives with institutions including the British Institute in Eastern Africa and Refugee Survey Quarterly, translating complex research findings into accessible policy briefs and public-facing content.
She currently serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Political Science at Karatina University while pursuing a Master’s degree in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies at the University of London as a Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholar.
